DAY1Selamat petang!!
just metres away from me stand those gorgeous, majestic and charming
PETRONAS TOWERS :DDyes yes, im in kuala lumpur now and i got to use the computer since everybody else is fast asleep.
no, im not THAT lucky.
this computer is way
way weird. i typed out a super long post just now and it didnt come out):
so yes, im suposed to be sleeping now as a normal human being. but i have no intentions of going to bed now.
anyway, the bus ride was simply AWESOME!
well...bus may not exactly be the best mode of transport if you're looking for comfort and all
but not me, i wasnt even expecting the slightest bit of comfort and for that the bus ride was faaantastic :DD
we boarded that pretty pretty bus at 8.30, meaning i woke up at 6.30 DDD:
well anyway, the singapore part of the bus ride was just singaporey. nothing unusual. but but but
the malaysia part was..
GORGEOUS, yes gorgeous. well, they say its third-world but when i took my first look of malaysia(2nd actually. first look was six years back) i was totally convinced that this is so SO not third world.
we drove past those plantations and admired the million palm trees. i slept a lil' during that part of the drive
and then, LUNCH(: whee, food at last!
we stopped near somewhere where they were no longer just palm trees. the city part of malaysia was starting to appear and sadly,
so was the third-worldiness of malaysia.
and i swear i saw a kidnapper!! nah, he wasnt gonna kidnap ME but i know he's one. i could just tell ok =x
after lunch the bus ride continued and continued till we reached KL :DDDDDD
traffic jam was horrible but we finally reached and we took a taxi to my adopted chitti's house.(adopted cause she isnt exactly my chitthi but since i have no idea how shes related to meee, i call her chitti!)
oh her house is faaantastic. they live in the city centre meaning i can see petronas towers so so so clearly standing in the bedroom balcony(:
plus they on air-con 24/7, and they dont even close the windows!!
hah, i do that back home and my parents will chase me out of the house. haha. what a waste of electricity D:
anyway, i love the house and all. blah blah blah.
in the evening we went for a long walk. we went to suria klcc which is a major shopping mall. the best part is i went there with NO money. haha. so i didnt buy a thing. thats the bad part when you go for holiday without your parents): oh and i saw this M.A.C cosmetics shop and i got reminded of dear dear shruti all over again. haaha. so anyway, back to the part on our walk. we went to the petronas towers. not inside but just outside. theennn, we roamed around a lil' more and we were back home. then i boggle-ed for a long time with my chithappa and went to bed
DAY OVER!
sounds short huh? wait till you hear about what we did today :D
DAY2
im dead dead tired. very tired. and im sleepy.very sleepy.
i woke up at 8 in the morning. lalala...then i dressed up and blah blah blah.
we rented a limo. i repeat, a
LIMOUSINE oh finee...its not exactly a limo DDD: but they call a van limo here so im gonna go back to singapore and show off that i've been in a limo. heh heh.
and our driver, raju!! drove us till the new world hotel where we picked up my chithappa'schithappa. haha. he's ooooold. but never mind. first we drove to royal selangor pewter factory. then we had a tour and the factory was so cool. i tried out hammering a design onto a pewter mug or whatever and i hammered so well!! hah, hidden talent :DD then we drank sprite out of a pewter mug and then took a photo near the world's biggest cup and...the end. we got back into the limo.
then we drove to batu caves. lol, there was a tamil sign and it said 'pathu caves' which has a direct translation of 10 caves. haha. anyway, there is this HUGEE murugan statue which is gold-plated. and its really really huge. so we prayed and all
then....*drumroll please*
I CLIMBED 272 stepsits a lot of steps you know. just to get to the caves you climb that many steps. we go to the real caves after that :D i did it babe! i did it. oh gosh, its SO SO SO pretty. i've been there before but then i was young and stupid. now i aint a young and a little less stupider and the naturally-formed caves were so preeeety (escuse my limited vocab. i keep using the word pretty)
and not to mention the monekys. aw, they're my friends!! they look like me too and we said hi to each other. maan, they were so many many adorable adorable monkeys. it was burning hot in the afternoon. even after experiencing india's heat i found the heat unbarable. but i bared with it anyway. the climb down was worse than the climb up. i kept slipping):
then...we drank coconut water. it was still hottt even after we got into the limo.
anyways, after that, we went to...
THE KL TOWERS!(:its 421m tall and its truly amazing.
the view from the observatory was splendid and i saw the whole of malaysia from there. there was a shortish long video on this mp4 player which had more info on malaysia. and all of a sudden out of nowhere
there were islamic prayers! it was the call for worship i suppose but we were 421m above! i wonder how we could hear the prayers from up there! haha :)
the kl towers are really awesome. but after seeing the CN towers in america the kl towers sure are kinda smaaall.
then...raju drove us home :DD
the end!
maan, it was so fun today.
plus, i got a good good impression on malaysia from just this visit. and did i ever mention in my post that this is my first overseas trip without my parents with me? heh, really its kinda cool. no offence my darling parents but...im just enjoying myself too much!(:
i wonder where we're going tomorrow....lalala. its funny how i've only been to malaysia six years back. malaysia is so so near singapore but yet i've almost never been there. or should i say..been here x)
oh well, im not coming back to malaysia for a long long time. they are still so many places to visit in the world.
TOODLES! Jumpa lagi!
